Your Trackwrestling score clock communicates directly with the matside computer, so both devices need to be connected correctly and configured with compatible IP addresses. If your clock is not communicating with the computer, the computer's IP address is often the first setting to check. Connect the score clock to the computer

  1. Connect the yellow Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port or USB-to-Ethernet adapter on the matside controller.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to the single Ethernet port on the bottom of the clock. This port may be labeled Controller.
  3. Make sure this cable is not connected to the switch or router if your clock has one.

Find the score clock's IP address

You need the clock's IP address to configure the matside computer correctly.

  1. Press the red reset button on the bottom of the clock, or power the clock off and back on.
  2. Watch the first set of numbers that flashes on the clock. These numbers display the clock's IP address for a few seconds.
  3. Read the numbers vertically in the four columns, from top to bottom and then left to right.

For example, the clock may display:

0001
1210
0631

Read vertically by column; this example represents the IP address:

10.26.13.101

Set a static IP address on the computer

The computer needs a static Local Area Network (LAN) IP address that allows it to communicate with the clock. The exact navigation may vary depending on your operating system.

Using a clock with the example IP address 10.26.13.101:

  1. Open the computer's Network and Sharing Center.
  2. Click Change Adapter Settings.
  3. Right-click Local Area Connection.
  4. Select Properties.
  5. Select IPv4, then click Properties.
  6. Enter 10.26.13.105 as the static IP address.
  7. Enter 255.255.255.0 as the subnet mask.
  8. Leave the Default gateway and DNS settings blank.

Install and open the controller

  1. Download the controller program to the computer's desktop. [CONTROLLER DOWNLOAD LINK]
  2. Right-click the controller.zip file on the desktop and unzip it.
  3. Make sure a supported web browser is installed and set as the computer's default browser.
  4. Open the extracted controller folder.
  5. Right-click Controller.html.
  6. Open the file using your supported browser.

Hard reset the score clock

If the clock still does not communicate with the computer after you have verified the IP address and cable connections, you may need to perform a hard reset.

A hard reset is different from pressing the red reset button on the bottom of the clock.

  1. Locate the small reset hole on the bottom of the clock.
  2. Insert a paper clip into the hole.
  3. Press and hold the internal reset until you see the clock begin its reset process.

After the reset, check the clock's IP address again and verify that the matside computer is configured correctly.

Change what appears on the clock

You can change the information displayed on the score clock by editing the display map.
