Matside configurations can simplify the login process for matside computers when your event is running on a local server. The configuration must be created on the local server, then each matside computer must be updated to connect to that server

Important

This process only works when running a local server. Complete the server configuration steps on the local server.

Create the matside configuration on the local server

1. From the Left or Setup menu, click Users > Matside Configs.
2. Click Add Config.
3. Add a configuration for your event to the local server's list of matside configurations.
4. Click Generate Config File to generate the configuration file.

Configure each matside computer

Complete the following steps on every matside computer that will connect to the local server:

1. Run the UpdateController.bat file on the matside computer.
2. When prompted, enter the IP address of your local server.
3. Do not enter tw, which is normally used when running without a server.
4. Repeat these steps on each matside computer used for the event.

Note

Java must be installed on the matside computer for the UpdateController program to work.
