If a wrestler needs to be replaced after a matrix bracket has been built, you'll need to remove the original wrestler, adjust the qualifying places, add the replacement wrestler, rebuild the bracket, and reapply the number scheme.
Step 1: Remove the Original Wrestler
- Go to Left Menu > Participants.
- Click Search and locate the wrestler.
- Select the wrestler.
- Click Delete Selected Participants.
Step 2: Update the Qualifying Places
- Go to Operating > Weight Classes.
- Select the appropriate weight class.
- Move each remaining wrestler up one qualifying place as needed.
- Click Save.
Tip
Click Qualifying Tournament at the top of the column to quickly sort the list.
Step 3: Add the Replacement Wrestler
- Return to Participants.
- Select Add Participant.
- Enter the wrestler's information.
- Click Add.
When prompted, select:
- Manually or Automatically: Manually
- Change Bracket Type if Needed: No
- Bracket Placement: No Seed
- Redraw: Nobody
- Click Finish.
- Type manual to confirm.
Step 4: Rebuild the Bracket
- Go to Printing > Weight Classes.
- Select the correct weight class.
- Click Rebuild Bracket with Line X.
- Type rebuild to confirm.
- Open the Bracket to verify that it rebuilt correctly.
Step 5: Reapply the Number Scheme
- Go to Operating > Number Schemes.
- Select the affected number scheme.
- Click Apply Selected Schemes.
- Select Unfreeze Existing Bouts.
- Type Apply to confirm.
Verify the Results
Confirm that:
- The bracket has been rebuilt correctly.
- Bout numbers are correct.
- The replacement wrestler appears in the proper position.
