Custom data fields let you collect additional information from participants during pre-registration when the standard registration fields do not include everything your event needs. You can create questions, choose the type of response participants should provide, add answer options, and include instructions to help participants enter the correct information.

Log In to Pre-Registration as an Administrator

1. Click Manage > Tournaments.
2. Find your event.
3. Click Pre-Registration to the right of the event.
4. Click Admin Login in the upper-right corner.
5. Enter your username and password.

Add a Data Field

1. Click Data Fields.
2. Click Add Field.
3. Enter a name for the field or question.
4. Select the appropriate field type.
5. Choose whether you want to provide a pick list of available responses.
6. If applicable, enter the pick-list options or restrict the allowed data range.
7. Enter any instructions participants need to answer the question correctly.
8. Click Add Field.

Choose a Field Type

Select a field type based on the information you need to collect:

• Real Number: Use for numeric values that may include decimals, such as a weight of 160.
• Integer: Use for whole-number responses.
• Short Text: Use for brief text responses, such as a school name like Jones HS.
• Long Text: Use when participants may need to provide a longer written response.

If you add custom data fields that need to be included in your tournament, review their field mappings when you import wrestlers from Pre-Registration.
