The Mat Assignment Display gives wrestlers, coaches, and event staff a quick view of the matches assigned to a mat and where each match is in the lineup. Matches are color-coded so you can easily see what is currently wrestling, what is on deck, and what is coming up. As match results are entered, completed matches are automatically removed from the display.

Access the Mat Assignment Display Settings

  1. Log in to your tournament as an Administrator.
  2. Open the Operating menu.
  3. Select Mat Assignment Display.

Configure the Display Layout

Start by choosing how bouts should be organized and displayed on the screen.

  1. Under Presets & Layout, leave the setting as Tournament Default or select Custom Column Layout if you want to customize the information displayed.
  2. Set Column Count to 1 for a standard single-column view.
  3. Choose a Sort By option based on how you want bouts organized:
    • Bout Number: Displays bouts sequentially by bout number.
    • Mat: Organizes bouts by mat number.
    • On-Deck Status: Groups bouts by their current status, with active matches first, followed by on-deck and upcoming matches.
  4. Set Mat Limit to No Limit to display the full assignment depth configured in your tournament settings.

Customize the Bout Information

Choose what information viewers will see for each bout and how upcoming matches appear.

  1. Set Upcoming Status Opacity to 50%, or adjust it between off and 100% based on your display preference.
  2. Turn on Wrestler Colors if you want wrestler names displayed using their red or green corner designation.
  3. Select the columns and information you want displayed for each bout.
  4. Adjust the character limits for each field as needed.

Available information can include:

  • Mat
  • Bout Number
  • Weight Class
  • Wrestler 1
  • Wrestler 2
  • Team
  • Division
  • Round/Bout Type
  • Seed

Understand the Match Colors

The Mat Assignment Display uses color to make it easier to see where each match is in the lineup:

  • Green: The match is currently on the mat.
  • Yellow: The match is on deck.
  • White: The match is assigned to the mat but is not yet on deck.

Once results are entered for a match, the completed match is removed from the display.

Add Display Banners

You can optionally add scrolling information to the display for people following the tournament.

Available banners include:

  • Recent Results
  • Team Scores
  • Announcements

For each banner you use, configure the available display options, including font size, scrolling speed, and vertical position. Adjusting the vertical position allows multiple banners to be stacked along the top of the display without overlapping.

Configure Advanced Display Settings

Advanced settings let you control which parts of the tournament appear and how frequently the display updates.

  1. Under the Mats & Groups Filter, select All Mats or choose specific mats and groups to display.
  2. Use mat filters when you need separate displays for different areas, such as multiple gyms or screens showing different sets of mats.
  3. Set the page refresh interval. A 30-second refresh rate is recommended.
  4. Adjust the top margin if you are using banners so the banners do not overlap the bout listings. For example, you may need a top margin of approximately 75 pixels depending on your banner setup.
  5. Turn Test Display on if you want to preview the layout with sample data while configuring the display.
  6. Turn Test Display off before using the display for your live event.
  7. Select Dark Mode or Light Mode based on the screen and viewing environment.

Save or View the Mat Assignment Display

Once the display is configured:

  • Click Save to save the settings as the default configuration for future visits.
  • Click View to open the configured Mat Assignment Display on the screen or monitor you plan to use.

When you click View, you may see a message explaining that clock and score information can only be displayed when using electronic bout sheets and a local server. Click OK to continue.

The Mat Assignment Display can still show mat assignments without those features. Real-time information such as the match clock and score will not appear unless the required setup is being used.
