Every event record is associated with three essential criteria that cannot be deleted:
- Minimum Number of Matches
- Winning Percentage
- Wins
The first criteria, Minimum Number of Matches, ensures that a record is considered valid before evaluating the winning percentage. For example, a wrestler with a 10-1 record is compared to a wrestler with a 1-0 record. Without a minimum number of matches, the 1-0 wrestler would appear better based on the winning percentage. Setting a minimum number of matches prevents this issue.
The second criteria is the Winning Percentage, which is straightforward.
Finally, the third criteria, Wins, is used to break ties between two records with the same winning percentage. For instance, if one wrestler has a 5-1 record and another has a 10-2 record, the wrestler with the 10-2 record would be ranked higher.
These criteria must always remain together and in this order within the seeding criteria. To edit the type of record information your tournament collects, click Tournament Records at the top of the SEEDING CRITERIA page.
