Tournament seeding criteria determine how wrestlers are seeded on a bracket. Follow the steps below to configure the seeding criteria for your tournament, or watch the video for a visual walkthrough of the process.

Please note that menus may have changed slightly since this video was recorded. FloPRO replaced TW GOLD+ in 2021.

Every event includes three predefined criteria that work together to evaluate tournament records. These criteria cannot be deleted.

The three predefined criteria are:

  • Minimum number of matches: Determines whether a record has enough matches to be considered valid.
  • Winning percentage: Compares wrestlers based on the percentage of matches they have won.
  • Wins: Breaks ties between records with the same winning percentage. For example, a wrestler with a 10-2 record is seeded ahead of a wrestler with a 5-1 record.

You can edit the tournament record settings, add additional records and criteria, change the priority of the criteria, and configure the maximum seed jump.

Configure tournament records

  1. Click Setup > Seeding Criteria.
  2. Click Tournament Records at the top of the page.
  3. Edit the record information associated with the seeding criteria as needed.
  4. Edit the name of the default record, if needed.
  5. Set the minimum number of matches required for the default record to be considered valid.
  6. To add another type of record to the seeding criteria, click Add Record.

Add and prioritize seeding criteria

  1. Click Add Criteria to add additional seeding criteria to your event.
  2. Use the Move option on the right side of the page to change the priority order of the criteria.
  3. When the criteria are in the correct order, click Save Criteria Order.

Set the maximum seed jump

The Max Seed Jump setting controls how far a wrestler can move in the seed list based on a head-to-head result against a wrestler seeded above them.

  1. Set the Max Seed Jump value you want to use for the event.
  2. Review the value based on how much movement you want to allow within the seed list.

For example, if Max Seed Jump is set to 2, a wrestler who beats, or has not lost to, another wrestler within two seed positions can move ahead of that wrestler.
