Seeding helps place wrestlers on a bracket based on your tournament’s seeding criteria. Before you begin, match wrestlers to the dual system so Trackwrestling can use the correct records when evaluating seeds. From there, you can review seed reports, update criteria, adjust the seed order, and build your brackets. Watch the video below to see the seeding process in action, or follow the steps to work through each weight class.

Match Wrestlers to the Dual System

Complete wrestler matching before you begin seeding.

1. Go to the Participants page.
2. Click More.
3. Select Match to Dual System.
4. Click Go.
5. Type match when prompted.
6. Review the wrestler matches.
7. Click Get to find the correct team for a wrestler, or select No Match when there is no appropriate match.
8. Continue until all wrestler matches have been reviewed.
9. Click the blue here link at the top of the page to sign off.

Seed and Build a Bracket

1. Click Bracketing > Seed/Build Brackets.
2. Select the weight class you want to seed.
3. Select the checkbox next to any wrestlers you want to compare.
4. Click View XXX Seed Report to review the seed report for the selected wrestlers in that weight class.
5. Select the checkbox next to the wrestlers you want to seed.
6. Click Fetch XXX Criteria to update the seeding criteria for the selected wrestlers in that weight class.
7. Review the seed order and use the arrows or Move Wrestler links to make any necessary adjustments.
8. Use the Seed through dropdown to select the appropriate seeding depth.
9. Click Build Bracket.
10. If you want to review the completed bracket, click the red Bracket link.
11. Select the next weight class from the dropdown.
12. Repeat the process until each weight class has been seeded and built.
