To configure your OBS Studio settings, please follow the steps below.
- Open OBS Studio.
- Use the Profile dropdown and select Trackcast
- Use the Scene collection dropdown and select Trackcast
- Ensure the video is showing and fits the video display
- If the video display is black, Right-click on Video under Sources.
- Select Properties.
- Click the Device dropdown.
- Choose the Webcam option in the dropdown
- Then choose your camera device in the dropdown, and you should see the video (If you don't, make sure everything is plugged in correctly and turned on).
- If you see black vertical bars on the left and right side of the video, change FPS/Resolution to Custom, then change Resolution to 1280x720
- Click Settings.
- Click Output.
- Change Output Mode to Advanced.
- Change Keyframe Interval to 2.
- Change Profile to Baseline.
- Change CPU Usage to Veryfast.
- If the CPU percentage is high and you’re getting an encoder overload message when streaming, you can change CPU usage to Ultrafast, and this will help lower the CPU load.
- Update Bitrate.
- Consult with your Flosports Stream Tech in Slack about what Bitrate to send your streams at. This is determined by your venue's internet speeds.
- Save Settings.
